There are a few ways to lower the cost of your water bill and the footprints that you leave on the environment as well by using some tips to save water in your home.
Check for drips and leaks. If you find them, repair them or get them repaired. Did you know that a single dripping faucet can run about a thousand gallons of water… and money… down your drain every year? If you pay by the gallon as most of us do, then you need to check your faucets and fix the drip.

Taking a bath uses a lot more water than a shower. That’s a given that we all know. It uses about twice as much water in fact than just the shower. If you can safely shower then do so rather than filling your bathtub.
Using just a few simple tricks and ideas, purchasing some small items such as aerators for your sinks and low volume shower heads you can save a significant amount on your overall water costs as well as helping to cut your water usage in half. It’s good for the environment and good for your pocket book as well.
