When you are about to interview an applicant for this position, make sure that you’ve listed down a set of questions that will enable you to determine if he or she can work with you. It will also be a good idea to get some of his or her character references. Check on the credentials that the applicant has as well. It is always best to hire a CPA. Most people think that all accountants have license. The truth is that not all do.
If you do not want to hire an accountant who will stay inside your office, you can coordinate with an accounting firm which is located near your office. It is not wise to get the service of a firm which is far from you. There will be times where you will need to see the accountant who is working on your books personally; therefore, meeting up will be very much convenient.
