Tattoos and Piercings for Body Art and Self Expression

Tattoos and piercings are very much in demand at present among young individuals who want to stand out, make a statement or express themselves. Those who want to appear unique or simply want to exude a different aura or attitude get a tattoo or body piercings. Although some consider these as a form of body art, there are also some people who remain conservative and see such “body art” as inappropriate. After all, subjecting your body to such procedures can be very painful, uncomfortable to some extent and in some cases, risky and health threatening.

Having a tattoo, depending on the design, may exude artistry, a rock star aura, a fashion statement, toughness or simply an expression of one self. For some, it could be more than just that because it also adds up to their charm, confidence and uniqueness as a person. No matter how people perceive them, tattooing and body piercing are two of the oldest forms of body art. Their origins can be traced back for several millenniums. Still, not all can accept and appreciate such forms of art. It is rare that you can see a person with tattoos and body piercings in the corporate world, in an elite community or professional environment.

Having tattoos and body piercings should be a mature decision. Always look for credible salons, shops or people to do it. More importantly, always pay attention to the safety of the procedure.
