The most common culprits for the increasing state of global warming in the world today are televisions and DVD players, which are typically found in almost every household. With an estimated 99% of homes owning televisions, it has been found that on the average, most televisions are left on standby mode for more than 17 hours per day. The same goes with DVD players, which are often not turned off when not in use.

Leaving your dishwasher turned on will continue to consume 70 percent of power, while your washing machines and tumble-dryers will continue to use up to 20 percent and 38 percent of electricity respectively.
