Transportation Saving Tips

The global crisis coupled by the rising cost in fuel and the worsening state of the environment should make you think more seriously about transportation. Getting solar-powered cars is one option you can take. Such cars are environment-friendly and cost-effective. Although they may not run as fast as their fuel-powered alternatives, these cars can nonetheless take you to and from your destination.

If you are not yet ready to make a huge investment, though, you can try other means to save on transportation cost. For instance, you can use public transport to work instead of using your own car. Or why not walk your way to the office if it is not very far? Not only can you save money, but walking is one great form of exercise that many people have taken for granted. Organizing a carpool is also a great way to save money while encouraging bonding time with your co-workers.

It’s also wise to list down all the places you need to go to during the following week, then schedule your trip so you can go to all these places at the same day. This is going to save you a lot of gas in the long run.

Finally, maintain your car well so it runs efficiently. A well maintained car is not as fuel-consuming as one that is not very well taken cared of.
