Some give a 5+1+1 setting, where temp is the same for five days and different on two days. A 5+2 setting is also available wherein temp is the same for 5 days and a different temp is used for the remaining two other days.
Air conditioning may be single stage, with one level of heat and cooling output; or multi-stage, with a multiple heat and cooling output. The latter allows for a balanced distribution of heat. Heat pumps are single types and furnaces and solar heating panels are multi staged. Heating systems may be single or double pole and voltage may be 120 or 240 volts.
